What is College Khabar (It is just another website!!! or is it really something different :))?

Let me tell you an incident that happened with one of us last year. One among us was seeking admission for his younger brother into a good Engineering College. But got stuck into one major problem. How can one find out about the details of a college ? He realized there is a  huge gap between the information and its availability to the students. Still to help his brother he tried gathering data and statistics for different colleges, called all his contacts (which were limited) and finally took the decision based on that limited information .It consumed a lot of time, energy and brainstorming for him .Since then he teamed up, searched for like minded people and decided to save others from this complete exercise. 

College Khabar is an initiative taken to provide with information about the Engineering and Management Colleges. Our focus is to provide with placements data for various colleges, which otherwise are very difficult to find. We believe in pure democracy, therefore it is for the students,to the students and by the students. We obtain the data and other information about a college from the students who are studying in those colleges.

Who are the people behind this and why this website?

We are the people who have either passed out or currently studying in top-tier Engineering Institutes and B-Schools of India. Our core team consists of members from IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur and IMT Ghaziabad. Our other team members (Khabris) are from various college across the country.To name a few  MNIT Jaipur, NIT Durgapur, BVP Pune, IILM Gurgaon, NIT Silchar and so on.
With the contribution from different Colleges, our team is increasing day-by-day.

Admission Seeking Students: Here you can find relevant details and placement details about the College you are seeking admission into. Through forums you can interact with the students presently studying in colleges. Using compare you can evaluate various colleges based on the certain parameters. Also you can send us your queries to us and your queries will be answered by our expert panel with in 24 hours.

College Going Students:  CollegeKhabar also provides detailed placement news, featured college pages, Resource section and CollegeKhabar forums. Resource section provides placement papers, help in resume building and article for preparation of interview and GDs .CollegeKhabar forum provide space for asking queries and posting answers. Event section covers the news of various technical festivals, cultural festivals, competitions and contests.

Hey, you guys are doing a fantastic job! Can I contribute anything to it?

Sure you can!!! You can post any information regarding your campus (regarding placement, college fests, fees changes, how do you like food on the college campus ;) etc.) on the forums or on the web-site. After approvals from the moderators, they will be reflected on the website. Simple as that.
 Also, you can become a Khabari of your college. For more details please see the next section.

Who is a Khabari?

Khabaris are consultants, recruiters, liaisons, partners; essential to the success of the College Khabar. The Campus Partners will work on a variety of College Khabar initiatives while at the same time, gaining hands-on marketing experience. College Khabaris are our eyes for that particular college. A Khabari gathers the information about the College.Of course he will be given special rights for it. Khabari will be provided with additional permission rights so that he can directly upload the news of his/her campus on the web-site.
