Samsung India visited National Institute of Technology, Durgapur on 20th Nov. 2009 and recruited 7 students from there. The process followed by them was written test followed by an interview. Interview had two sections, 50 questions in 1 hour and interview also had two rounds HR and Tech taken by two different panels.

Recruitment procedure: The process followed by Samsung was
1. Written Test
2. Personal interview
Written Test:
Written test consisted of 2 parts – (Total 50 question in one Hour)
Quant and General reasoning containing 25 questions each to be done in 1 hour. Questions were simple and easy. In quant most questions were based on graphs and data.
39 students cleared written test.
Personal Interview:
Interview was both TECH and HR taken by separate panel.
Tech interview:
Tech questions were what they focused on though. Operating Systems, DS and a deep knowledge of C is must.
In Tech interview very deep and tricky questions from Operating Systems and C were asked.
HR Interview: In HR normal questions were asked like why do you want to join us and why should I hire you etc.

1. What is ultra thin client?
2. What is cross compiler?
3. Convert JK flip flop to SR.
4. What is hashing?
5. What is bootloader and bootstraper?
6. What is difference between OS and kernel?
7. What is segmentation fault?
8. Explain quicksort?
9. Which is fastest sorting method?
10. Write a program to add two number using bitwise operators.
11. Define deadlock and its four conditions.
12. Write a program on stack.
13. What are different states of a process?
14. What are the complexities of different sorts?
15. Execute printf statement without using semicolon.
